Gov. JB Pritzker spoke on the impact of "Operation Midway Blitz" in Chicago on Tuesday.

It has been more than a year since federal agents made thousands of immigration arrests.

A University of Illinois Chicago study released last week found the operation cost Cook County more than $1.26 billion in restaurant and retail activity.

Researchers say many people stayed home because they were afraid to go out

Pritzker hosted a press conference at 11 a .m. at the La Villita Community Church at 2300 S. Millard Ave.
