An 18-year-old San Antonio woman is accused of leaving her baby with a stranger she had just met at a downtown bus stop.
Karla Ibarra is charged with abandoning a child with intent to return, according to Bexar County court records. A judge set her bail at $7,000.
The incident occurred just before 11 p.m. at a bus stop in the 200 block of Broadway near Travis Park, according to a San Antonio police report.

The stranger called police and said they had met Ibarra at the bus stop moments earlier.
According to the report, Ibarra said she no longer wanted the child and handed the baby to the caller.
Police said Ibarra later returned to the bus stop, where officers arrested her.
The police report does not identify the baby's gender or age.
