A Randolph man was ordered held without bail Tuesday in connection with a shooting in Boston that killed one man and left four others injured, the Boston Police Department said in a statement.

Oliver C. Derima, 27, was arrested and charged with murder, carrying a firearm without a license and carrying a loaded firearm without a license in connection with the deadly shooting, which occurred early Monday, Aug. 3, in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Boston, police said.

Derima was arraigned Tuesday in Boston Municipal Court in West Roxbury, where he pleaded not guilty to the charges, court records show. He was ordered held without bail pending a probable cause hearing in September.

Defense attorney Anthony R. Ellison could not immediately be reached for comment Tuesday.

Officers were dispatched to Little Haiti International Cuisine, at 1184 Hyde Park Ave., at about 12:38 a.m. Monday for reports of a shooting in the area, according to police. Upon arrival, responding officers located three adult victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

According to a police report obtained by The Enterprise, one was shot in the back, one in the leg and another in the chest and arm. Two additional victims, including Derima, self-transported to Boston Medical Center.

One of the victims, Ky Mani Korey Reynolds, 26, of Dorchester, was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said.

Police said video footage from the scene shows the victim engaged in a physical altercation with another individual prior to the shooting.

The shooting remains under investigation, and police are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact the Boston Police Department Homicide Unit at 617-343-4470.

A probable cause hearing is scheduled for Sept. 4 in Boston Municipal Court in West Roxbury.
