White House adviser Peter Navarro appears to be even more frustrated with U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro than President Donald Trump.

Navarro, a senior counselor for trade and manufacturing to Trump, piled on to the president's criticism of Pirro on Monday, ripping the top federal prosecutor for not ousting a Justice Department official who oversaw his prosecution.

"Do me a favor Steve — when I'm on camera and you don't want to talk about something like Jeanine Pirro, never mention her friggin' name to me," Navarro said on former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon's "War Room" podcast. "Because that woman still refuses, refuses, to fire John Crabb, the prosecutor who was involved in putting you and me behind bars, OK."

Navarro was interrupted by Bannon, who told him to "stop" with a laugh: "We love Jeanine."

The two continued to talk over one another, before Navarro added, "I'm just telling you. How is that guy still working here, who pointed [to] me in a courtroom and said I was above the law? Those… You get my drift."

He went on to ask whether Pirro was listening.

Bannon said he wanted Pirro to know that he had "nothing to do with this outburst."

It was the second time Navarro has offered a public rebuke against Pirro, the president's handpicked prosecutor and former Fox News host, in recent days.

In a post on X last week, Navarro accused Crabb of helping "put me and Steve Bannon unjustly behind bars despite REPEATED urgings," referring to how they were convicted and sentenced for contempt of Congress after they defied subpoenas issued by the House Select Committee on the January 6 Attack.

"VERY Disappointing," Navarro wrote. "Talk ain't walk."

Navarro also attached a story from Politico, which outlines how Pirro has struggled to deliver on some of the president's personal and political grievances, with a dropped vandalism charge involving the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool serving as the latest example.

His remarks followed Trump offering a series of criticisms against Pirro over the course of the month.

Trump's public anger with Pirro first sparked earlier this month, with the president bluntly writing on Truth Social: "I disagree 100% with Jeanine Pirro, the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, on the Reflecting Pool. I don't know what she was thinking?"

The president then last Monday told reporters that Pirro "choked" and "folded like an umbrella" after her D.C. office dropped one count of destruction of property against former Olympian David Hearn, who was accused of vandalizing the Reflecting Pool earlier this summer.

The following day, he did not rule out whether her job was on the line.

"I haven't made a determination," Trump said, saying she was "totally wrong" in her conclusion.

In a 20-page filing on July 31, the Justice Department indicated that additional documents from the Department of Interior showed "flawed installation by the contractor, Atlantic Industrial Coatings," as well as "the rush to complete the project prior to events associated with the America 250 celebration," were to blame for the deterioration rather than vandalism of the D.C. landmark.

"Had DOI been forthcoming with the information clearly in its possession, the government would not have sought a grand jury indictment," the filing reads.

Trump took to his social media platform on Sunday to insist that a defendant was caught by a National Park Service employee, who he dubbed a "highly credible witness," saw a defendant "'violently' ripping and tugging" at the pool's blue coating.

"There was substantial other damage to the Reflecting Pool, also but, unfortunately, there is no video or proof, other than the damage, itself," Trump wrote.

The president acknowledged that there was "some contractor error done by rushing the job for a July 4th opening," but described it as "a very small area of this massive Pool, and was relatively inconsequential."

He also noted that the pool will reopen "shortly" and security cameras are in the process of being installed.
