Heat, storm chances headline Tri-State weather forecast this week

Settle in. The oppressive heat and humidity is going to last a while.
That's the message you get when you look at the National Weather Service's forecast for the Evansville and Henderson areas for the rest of the work week into the weekend.
The agency has placed the entire region under a heat advisory through Thursday evening, but it's looking like the advisory will be extended through the entire weekend.
Daily "feels like" temperatures − the measure of how heat and humidity combine to create the temperature your body experiences − will range from 106 to 109 degrees at their peak each day through Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.
Actual air temperatures will climb into the middle 90s most days.
There are slight chances for storms Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, forecasters said in a morning briefing.
Wednesday has the greatest risk of severe weather, with damaging winds the main concern.
"The severe risk each day peaks in the evening when a complex of storms will be possible," forecasters said.
Still, the rain chances aren't high: 35 percent on Wednesday, peaking at 40 percent overnight Wednesday into early Thursday morning.
