A death investigation is underway after a body was found in Fresh Pond in Cambridge on Tuesday.
The Middlesex District Attorney's Office confirmed to Boston 25 News that the body "appears to have been in the water for an extended period of time."
No additional information on the discovery was immediately available.
The DA's office is assisting Cambridge police with the investigation.
Authorities say additional details will be released when they become available.
