Greenville, S.C. (WSPA)- Downtown Greenville will celebrate unity, culture, and heritage this weekend with no shortage of color.
The India Day celebration is marked by a parade on Main street in downtown Grenville at 10:30 on Saturday, August 15.
Residents can celebrate many traditions, and one spirit organizers said as much as thousands of people participate when India Day is held every other year.
You'll see several state associations and regional groups representing different states of India.
Cultural and community organizations will provide food, dancing and you'll also see traditional clothing, art and customs on display.
Organizers encourage you to wear bright colors and join in the parade at 1030am.
Srinivasan NK and Immanuel Gnanaprakash joined from the Carolina Cricket Alliance. They practice locally in Anderson and Charlotte.
