Police search for suspect in fatal shooting in Casa Grande
Casa Grande police are asking for the public's help locating a 21-year-old man in connection with a fatal shooting outside a bar early Aug. 15.
The shooting was reported around 1:45 a.m. in a parking lot near Interstate 10 and O'Neil Drive, according to a Casa Grande Police Department news release.
Jacob Encinas, 37, suffered a single gunshot wound to his upper torso and died, police said.
Police identified the suspect as Tristen Lee Alvarez, who left the scene before police arrived.
Police said Alvarez should be considered armed and dangerous and anyone who sees him should not approach him and should immediately call law enforcement.

Detectives determined Encinas and Alvarez had been involved in a verbal altercation in the parking lot before the shooting, police said.
Police did not say what led to the altercation or the shooting.
No other injuries were reported.
