THIS AFTERNOON/EVENING: Scattered Showers and Storms. HI 78.
TONIGHT: Increasing Clouds. Lo 72.
This morning brought scattered showers to the region which continued into the afternoon for some. Thunderstorms developed over Ohio and should arrive to our region in the early evening. For most of us, the rain has been light to moderate. The chance of showers and thunderstorms will continue into the evening. Periods of heavy rain are possible so we'll be watching for any repeating, slow-moving showers or storms that could produce isolated flash flooding concerns. The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for Franklin and Fulton counties until 10 PM tonight.
Temperatures have struggled with clouds and rain around. Our western counties have made it to the upper 70s, while the eastern part of the viewing area reached the low 70s. Some showers are possible overnight. Clouds will be around for part of Monday morning and the afternoon will bring a chance for stray thunderstorms. Prior to the storms bubbling up, temperatures should reach the mid-80s.
Much of the week will be seasonable. Rain chances return for Wednesday and Thursday afternoon and evening. We'll keep updated on the impacts and the timing the event gets closer.
