At least six people were killed in Ukrainian missile strikes on Russia's border region of Belgorod, local authorities said on Monday.

Four others were injured in the attack on the village of Koloskovo, acting Governor Alexander Shuvayev said on Telegram. The information could not initially be independently verified.

Belgorod, which borders Ukraine, has repeatedly come under attack from Ukrainian forces during the war as Kiev defends itself against Russia's invasion.

Ukraine has increasingly used faster, longer-range weapons in such attacks. It has been resisting Russia's full-scale invasion for four and a half years with Western military support.
