Ocoee police are warning residents about an increase in "bank jugging" crimes, in which suspects watch people withdraw cash from banks and then follow them.

Investigators say criminals often wait for victims to leave money inside their vehicles before breaking in and stealing it.

Police urge residents to conceal cash, avoid leaving money in a vehicle and remain alert for anyone who may be following them after a bank visit.

Anyone who believes they are being followed should not drive home. Instead, police recommend going to a busy public place or the Ocoee Police Department and calling for help.
