An Orange County man was arrested on child annoyance charges involving a teen girl who was walking in a neighborhood.
The Fullerton Police Department identified the suspect as Salim Tarrab, 28, of Fullerton.
On Aug. 18, the female victim was walking on the 1800 block of Benchley Street in Fullerton when the suspect pulled up alongside her in a silver Toyota Camry at around 1:10 p.m.
Tarrab allegedly began talking to the girl, including asking whether she smoked marijuana. He then reportedly asked if she wanted to make money while visibly "reaching his hands down below his waist," police said.

The girl told police she believed he was asking her to do something sexual, so she immediately walked away and made her way back to her school campus. There, she reported the incident to school staff who contacted the police.
Following an investigation, Tarrab was identified as the suspect involved.
Police said Tarrab had been "previously arrested by the Fullerton Police Department for lewd and lascivious acts with a minor and child annoyance. He was out on bail pending future court appearances for that previous case."
An arrest warrant was obtained for Tarrab for the charges of child annoyance and violating his pretrial release terms.
He was arrested at his home later that day and booked into the Fullerton City Jail, where he is being held on $1 million bail. The investigation remains ongoing.
Anyone who believes they may have been a victim of Tarrab or has information on the case is asked to call Detective M. Halverson at 714-773-5765 or email [email protected].
