A September fundraiser in downtown Greenfield will combine local art, live music, food and drinks while raising money for community revitalization efforts led by Main Street Downtown Greenfield.
The organization's annual Bourbon & Bliss event is scheduled from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 17, at Black Diamond Brewery & Distillery, 246 Jefferson St., according to a community announcement. The fundraiser supports Main Street Downtown Greenfield's ongoing efforts related to downtown development, local businesses, community engagement and public events.
Guests will receive two drinks and appetizers with admission. The event will also feature live music from Zac McFadden, a raffle and an auction showcasing artwork created by local artists.
"Bourbon & Bliss is a fundraiser, but it has always been about much more than that," said Shari Royse-Bellar, past president of Main Street Downtown Greenfield. "It is an opportunity to bring people together downtown, showcase local artists and musicians, support a local business and create an evening that celebrates our community. That is really at the heart of what Main Street strives to do."
The art auction will give attendees the opportunity to bid on original works created by local artists. Bidding will be limited to guests attending Bourbon & Bliss.
Organizers said the event is designed to highlight artists, musicians and businesses while bringing residents and visitors together in the downtown district.
Black Diamond Brewery & Distillery is serving as both the host venue and a sponsor of the event. The business contributed $500 in support of Bourbon & Bliss, according to the announcement.
"We are incredibly grateful to Black Diamond for not only providing such a wonderful setting for Bourbon & Bliss, but also for continuing to invest in our community," Royse-Bellar said. "Partnerships with our local businesses and community supporters are what allow Main Street to continue creating events and opportunities like this."
Located in a historic downtown building, Black Diamond Brewery & Distillery offers craft beer, cocktails and small-batch spirits.
Tickets cost $60 each or two for $100. Organizers suggest casual cocktail attire.
Tickets can be purchased through the Main Street Downtown Greenfield website, at the Main Street office, 324 Jefferson St., or by contacting [email protected].
Organizers said proceeds will support Main Street Downtown Greenfield programs and initiatives focused on strengthening the downtown area.
"Every person who attends Bourbon & Bliss is doing more than enjoying a night out," Royse-Bellar said. "They are supporting Main Street and the work being done throughout the year to keep our downtown active, welcoming and moving forward. We hope people will come out, bring their friends and enjoy a really special evening right here in Greenfield."
