Aug. 20 (UPI) -- An escaped sheep boarded a parked bus in Germany and took a trip through the giant-sized car wash before being reunited with its owner.
The Coesfeld Police said on social media that the sheep escaped from its pasture and wandered onto bus company RVM's property in Lüdinghausen.
The sheep climbed aboard a parked bus that had been left unlocked and was discovered by the vehicle's driver when they returned to do a walk-through for litter.
RVM contacted local police and rancher Stefan Naber, who was identified as the sheep's owner by a plastic tag in its ear.
Bus company officials said the sheep took a ride through the facility's bus-sized car wash while waiting for its owner to arrive.
The animal remained calm and cooperative throughout its brief bus trip.
Naber was able to transfer the sheep to a trailer for safe transport home.
RVM spokesman Tino Nitsch said employees were delighted by the unexpected passenger and the sheep will get an article in the next issue of the company's employee magazine.
