GHENT, WV (WVNS) – Looking to learn more about the outdoors? The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources is looking to educate.
WV State Police looking for new recruits at SFWV
From September 25-27 of 2026, you can sign up for their Becoming an Outdoors Woman program. It is meant to offer hands-on outdoor activities for women 18 and older. It is open to all fitness levels.
This program originally started in 1991 and was offered through the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point per their webpage on the program.
The workshop will be at Cacapon Resort State Park. It consists of 20 skill-building classes.
Only the first 75 registered participants are guaranteed a spot. You can register here.
