WICHITA COUNTY (KFDX/KJTL) - In Wichita County's 89th District Court, on Thursday, a Wichita Falls man was sentenced to prison once again for child sex crimes, including failing to register as a sex offender.
Jeffery Tate Woods, 31, was indicted in June for failing to comply with his duty to register as a sex offender and the very next month, he was indicted for possessing child pornography. Both charges stemmed from earlier this year.
On Thursday, he pleaded guilty to both charges in the 89th District Court, with presiding Judge Dobie Kosub sentencing him to six years for the child pornography charge and one year for failing to register as a sex offender.
Court records show he's served time in prison in the past for a charge of indecency with a child from 2013 and failing to register as a sex offender from 2018.
