SULLIVAN COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) - A Kingsport man was arrested after reportedly clipping a deputy's vehicle and crashing a stolen vehicle into several ditches.
The Sullivan County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) stated in a news release that the pursuit reportedly began around 3 p.m. Sunday when a deputy spotted a vehicle on Lynn Garden Drive.
According to the SCSO, the driver was believed to have felony warrants, and a pursuit began when the driver refused to pull over.
The pursuit continued into East Carters Valley Road, where the driver reportedly lost control and crashed into a ditch.
"The driver then regained control before losing control again and going into another ditch," the release states. "The driver spun around, clipped a deputy's vehicle, and got out of the ditch before trying to flee again."
The sheriff's office stated the driver lost control again and ultimately became stuck in another ditch.
The driver, identified as 35-year-old Michael Poole of Kingsport, was taken into custody.
Poole reportedly had felony warrants for his arrest out of Scott County, Virginia for violation of probation. The vehicle Poole was driving was also reportedly listed as stolen out of Scott County.

Possession of Schedule II drug
Leaving the scene of an accident
