If you're a fan of the circus — or perhaps just good food and music — you'll find something fun to do in York County this weekend. 

The weather should be excellent for your York County weekend outing.  

According to the National Weather Service at State College, weather conditions on Friday, Aug. 28, Saturday, Aug. 29, and Sunday, Aug. 30, are expected to be warm and clear. On Friday, the high will be around 82 and the low will be around 62. On Saturday, the high will be around 81 and the low will be around 62. On Sunday, the high will be around 83 and the low will be around 66. 

Here's a sample of what's happening this weekend: 

Cirque Italia – 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28; 1:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m., and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29; 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.; Sunday, Aug. 30; 7:30 p.m.; and Monday, Aug. 31 – York Expo Center, 334 Carlisle Avenue, York City – A cast of acrobats, jugglers, aerialists, dancers, and clowns will sail between worlds, diving deep beneath the waves and soaring high into the clouds. Cirque Italia's Water Circus is filled with nautical wonder, fabulous fountains, and theatrical spectacle that will dazzle and delight the young and the young at heart.

Books, Bands and Vinyl Festival - 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 29 - 113 S. Duke St., York City – The free event features books, live music and vinyl vendors in downtown York. Hosted by Creative on Kings, there will be food, beer, art, crafters, books, vinyl, and, of course, a closed road with a variety of music.

Get Crafted Fine Art, Fine Craft and Spirits Festival - 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 29 - Royal Square Mural Park, 114 E. Newton Ave., York City - Get Crafted returns for its second year with a new venue: the Royal Square District Mural Park, set among more than 30+ large-scale murals in downtown York. The festival features a curated marketplace of fine artists, craft artisans, and specialty food vendors, plus a dedicated craft beverage area offering beer, wine, and spirits samples and sales. This event is free and open to the public.

Sounds of Summer: Seven Bridges - 7 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 30 - Springettsbury Amphitheater, 1501 Mt. Zion Road, Springettsbury - The Sounds of Summer concert series concludes with Seven Bridges, an Eagles tribute band. The event is free and open to the public.

South Central Pennsylvania Genealogical Society Meeting - 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 30 - York County History Center, 121 N. Pershing Ave., York City - Tour the York County History Center's new Revolutionary York Exhibit. It features such treasures as an original 1777 printing of the Articles of Confederation, a 1775 Committee of Safety letter, a York Blues militia book, and imprints from the Hall and Sellers press. Admission to the exhibit is free to those attending the meeting.

Haagiography exhibit - Noon to 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29 -  Marketview Arts, 37 W. Philadelphia St., York City - Retrospective exhibition celebrating the work and career of York artist Fred Haag.

Walk A Mile In Her Shoes - Registration is open for YWCA York's annual Walk A Mile in Her Shoes® which will be held during First Friday in downtown York on Friday, Sept. 4. The annual walk helps raise awareness of gender-based violence and supports survivors of such violence. Participants will gather at 31 N. Pershing Avenue at 5 p.m., lace up their heels, and walk down Market Street to Continental Square — right through the heart of First Friday — before returning along Philadelphia Street. The route puts the march in front of thousands of community members already out and celebrating, making it one of the most visible public awareness moments YWCA York has ever staged.
