HENSONVILLE - A 64-year-old Hensonville man was arrested Monday after State Police investigated allegations that he had sexual contact with a child under the age of 11, authorities said.
Robert Stockert was arrested following an investigation that began Aug. 18, when State Police in Catskill received a report alleging that he had engaged in sexual contact with a child under 11.
Stockert was charged with two counts of first-degree rape, a class B felony; first-degree course of sexual conduct against a child, a class B felony; and two counts of first-degree sexual abuse, a class D felony. The course of sexual conduct charge pertains to sexual abuse committed over a span of at least three months.
Stockert was arraigned in Coxsackie Town Court and remanded to the Greene County Jail without bail, according to State Police.
He is scheduled to appear in Coxsackie Town Court at 3 p.m. Sept. 14.
The Greene County Child Advocacy Center assisted State Police with the investigation.
