A suspect was arrested Wednesday night in North Hollywood after leading Los Angeles police on a lengthy slow-speed chase while driving on a shredded tire.
AIR7 was over the pursuit as the suspect drove at slow speeds on surface streets with multiple police cruisers trailing behind.
The chase moved through the San Fernando Valley and Hollywood before continuing into the San Gabriel Valley.
Police say the suspect was wanted for assault with a deadly weapon on a police officer after he allegedly struck a patrol car earlier this week.
The chase eventually returned to the San Fernando Valley where the suspect ditched the car at Lankershim Boulevard and Oxnard Street.
Officers were able to take the suspect into custody at an apartment complex after a foot pursuit just after 11 p.m.
The chase lasted for more than an hour and a half.
