A person is dead following a fiery solo car crash in southeast Fresno.
The Fresno Fire Department says the crash happened Friday just before 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of Willow and Iowa avenues, north of Tulare Avenue.
Investigators say the vehicle knocked out a power pole and its power lines fell onto the vehicle.
When firefighters arrived, the car was engulfed in flames.
Authorities have not released any additional information on the person killed.
Both directions of Tulare and Willow have been blocked to traffic. Drivers are advised to find alternate routes.
According to PG&E's outage map, as of 5:40 p.m. Friday, at least 3,000 residents are without power.
