The exhibit features sculptures celebrating pollinators and the beauty of the natural world; some are never-before-seen pieces, including a new monarch butterfly and bats with six-foot wingspans. Over 40 stunning sculptures will create arches and groupings or be showcased as individual pieces. Artist Alex Heveri, a Tucson, Arizona sculptor, has been creating large-scale steel and luminousDalle de verre glass sculptures for over 30 years. "Whirled Peace" at East Chippewa Church of the Brethren, 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, 7207 Chippewa Road. Orrville. In honor of International Day of Peace, the Church of the Brethren Gun Violence Action Team asked churches across the country to make a visual public statement about the cost of gun violence and our promise to stand for peace. In response to this request, the East Chippewa Church of the Brethren will create a pinwheel display in front of the church and hold a Candlelight Vigil for Peace.
