AUSTIN (KXAN) — What is now Tropical Depression Edouard is likely to bring a few spotty showers to Central Texas through week's end.

After making landfall as a tropical storm yesterday in southwest Louisiana, Edouard continues to weaken as it creeps north across east Texas. With a good amount of tropical moisture nearby and daytime heat, a few spotty showers are expected in Central Texas this afternoon and evening (the heaviest rain is likely to stay just east of us). Afternoon highs will climb into the upper 90s and low 100s.
