Liberty Hill residents will soon have a new option for groceries, coffee and everything in between.
Target plans to open a 148,000-square-foot store in the northwest Austin suburb this fall, bringing more than 200 jobs with it.
The store at 351 N. U.S. 183 will include a Starbucks, CVS Pharmacy and integrated Apple section, according to Target. It will also feature electric vehicle charging stations and a larger focus on food, including groceries and fresh produce, meat and dairy products.
Shoppers will have access to Target's Drive Up and Order Pickup services, as well as same-day delivery.
The Liberty Hill store will be larger than the average Target's roughly 125,000-square-foot footprint. Its opening date is scheduled for Oct. 11.
Ahead of the opening, Target said Liberty Hill store leaders have volunteered with local food pantries to help stock supplies for the fall.
The Liberty Hill location is part of a broader expansion by the Minneapolis-based retailer nationwide. It's one of three new Texas stores opening by the end of the year and eight new stores total across Mississippi, New York, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.
New stores in Fort Worth's Chisholm Trail area, Katy Heritage and Liberty Hill will become Target's 163rd, 164th and 165th stores in Texas, respectively. Target opened its first Texas store in 1969 and now employs more than 29,000 across the state.
Target is pouring billions of dollars into its brick-and-mortar footprint. The company plans to spend about $5 billion on capital investments in 2026, supporting more than 30 new stores and more than 130 remodels by the end of the year. Target has said it expects to build more than 300 stores nationwide by 2035.
