Two Houston-area men are accused of following a woman home from a bank and trying to steal her purse, according to Hill Country police.
New Braunfels police say Christian Woods, of Houston, and Mekhi McKinstry, of Richmond, have been charged with assaulting a woman as she was exiting her vehicle at her home in the 2200 block of Meadow Way St. around 10:15 a.m. on Thursday. Police say the alleged crime is known as "jugging," a criminal trend where people target victims withdrawing money from banks or ATMs then follow them to steal their cash.
Both men were charged with aggravated robbery and evading arrest, according to Comal County court records.

The duo fled in a car. Police said in a Friday social media post the vehicle was captured by a license plate reader camera and police attempted to stop the car. The car pulled over at a gas station on Loop 337 just off Interstate 35.
Woods, 20, and McKinstry, 22, fled the car on foot. One of them was caught immediately, according to the post. The other - officials did not specify which man was caught first - ran into a wooded area, where he was caught with assistance from the Comal County Sheriff's Office.
The woman suffered "non-life-threatening" injuries, according to police. Both men were released from jail after each posting a $53,000 bond.
