Two injured in North Stonington rollover crash on Main Street, officials say

NORTH STONINGTON - Two people were injured Sunday evening when a car overturned in a crash on Main Street, officials said. 

The wreck took place shortly before 11 p.m. near the intersection with Norwich-Westerly Road, according to the North Stonington Volunteer Fire Company.

Officials said crews arrived to find a vehicle on its side with a person trapped inside who was suffering from serious injuries. 

The fire company said the person was rescued from the vehicle. Officials said two patients were then transported to local hospitals.
