IBERIA PARISH, La. (KLFY) -- Three people were arrested after a traffic stop in Iberia Parish on Saturday, authorities said.

The driver of the vehicle, Christopher Archangel, 38, is charged with speeding and OWI.

Jeffery Marks, 33, is charged with possession of marijuana, possession of body armor, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and resisting an officer.

A 17-year-old juvenile involved in the incident was released on a summons for juvenile possession of a firearm and obstruction, officials said.

Deputies with the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop Saturday morning on a vehicle for speeding. During the stop Marks allegedly ran away from the vehicle. After a brief foot pursuit, Marks was taken into custody, officals said.

Deputies said they found suspected marijuana, body armor and an AR-15-style firearm.

Archangel was also taken into custody. He allegedly registered a .130 BAC.

Marks and Archangel were booked into the Iberia Parish jail. Bond details were not released.

This matter remains under investigation.
