SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) -- A death investigation is underway in Spartanburg County after a shooting Thursday night has left one person dead.
Deputies with the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office responded to a shooting at a business parking lot in the 1200 block of Boiling Springs Road in Boiling Springs.
At the scene, deputies located one person who was fatally shot.
The Spartanburg County Coroner's Office has not identified the deceased at this time.
Authorities said a person of interest is in custody and there is no risk to the community.
No official charges have been filed at the moment, according to deputies.
