Central Texas TV newsrooms are welcoming a wave of new faces, with stations in Austin, Waco and Temple adding reporters, anchors and meteorologists to their lineups.

The latest hires include an award-winning investigative reporter returning to her home state, new additions to several weather teams and a longtime local anchor making the jump to a rival station.

KXAN is expanding its newsroom with two recent hires.

Ann Pierret is joining the station's investigative team after five years at KRQE News 13/FOX New Mexico in Albuquerque, where she has worked as an investigative reporter since 2021.

Before moving to New Mexico, Pierret spent nearly a decade working in Michigan television, including five years at ABC12 News in Flint. The Arlington native began her professional television career at WILX in Lansing, Mich., in 2014.

Pierret is an Edward R. Murrow Award, Michigan Association of Broadcasters Award and Associated Press Award winner. She graduated from Fordham University in 2014 and gained production experience with CBS This Morning and MSNBC's Morning Joe while in New York.

KXAN also welcomed Nathan Langley as a multimedia journalist in July. Langley came to Austin from WIFR in Rockford, Ill., where he had worked since May 2024. He previously worked as a digital content producer at 13 WREX.

Langley studied political science and English at the University of Illinois and worked for The Daily Illini, eventually serving as an opinion editor and senior columnist.

KCEN 6 is adding to both its weather and reporting teams.

Parker Cox is joining the Temple station as an evening meteorologist after working as a morning meteorologist at KAVU 25 News Now in Victoria since July 2023. The Dallas-area native earned a bachelor's degree in atmospheric science from Texas A&M University.

The station has also welcomed Ashley Henderson as a multi-skilled journalist and reporter.

"This is truly a dream come true," Henderson, a journalism graduate of Abilene Christian University, wrote on social media. "At 16 years old, I discovered my love for journalism and began chasing my dreams without knowing where they would lead me."

Henderson said she is excited to join KCEN and have the opportunity to tell stories across Central Texas.

The additions come as KCEN's lineup undergoes another change.

Longtime morning anchor Jasmin Caldwell left KCEN in August after nine years and made her debut Tuesday as an anchor and reporter at rival KWTX. Caldwell isn't the only new face at KWTX.

Meteorologist Katalina Bell joined the station in July after spending two years at KTAB/KRBC in Abilene. "I'm so excited for this new chapter and incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve the Central Texas community," Bell wrote on social media.

Bell grew up in Bulverde, north of San Antonio, and graduated from Smithson Valley High School in 2018. She earned a bachelor's degree in meteorology from Texas A&M University in December 2023.
