Progress on one of San Antonio's newest shopping centers is accelerating. As it nears its construction finish line, nearby residents can look forward to a lineup of nationally known tenants opening their doors.

Crews broke ground on Galm Crossing in November of last year, according to a filing listed on the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) website. Now, in September 2026, the shells of buildings intended to house a slew of retailers can be found at the property, located at 13253 Galm Road.

Abiso Real Estate is developing the project, expected to cost $16 million, and is listed as the property owner. Team member Andrew Bagnall tells MySA that it has secured leases with several tenants and the businesses should make their own announcements about joining the center over the next month or so. Online records state that PNC Bank is among them, bringing another branch location and a drive-through ATM to the area.

Take 5 Oil Change will also take up a spot, according to a separate TDLR report. It will span about 2,000 square feet and feature three service bays. More food options are also headed for the space, with Chick-fil-A expected to set up inside one of the buildings, according to the San Antonio Express-News. Abiso Real Estate marketing materials show a nail salon, hair salon, pet store, and vet clinic also listed for the plaza, though no business names were explicitly mentioned.

Much of the excitement for Galm Crossing is due to it bringing the beloved grocer, Sprouts Farmers Market, to the region. It will span approximately 23,000 square feet and has an estimated completion date of mid-December.

The development sits at the intersection of the frequently traveled Culebra Road. It's a corridor that has seen recent growth, with the nearby Sotomayor High School opening in 2022 and most homes in the Davis Ranch master-planned community being built after 2015.

Much of the land surrounding the hub has been cleared, but construction materials and dirt are still present. The finished product will be composed of five single-story structures and span roughly 70,000 square feet, according to the TDLR report. A Florida-based firm is handling the design elements, with Abiso Real Estate anticipating the overall completion date in March of 2027.
