SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO) -- Following this morning's scattered showers in eastern KELOLAND, we've been able to enjoy a very comfortable day across the region.
We'll watch western parts of KELOLAND as we head into the night, as showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop. Some of these storms may be strong to severe.
A "Marginal Risk" for severe weather covers portions of western and southwestern South Dakota for the overnight period. This includes the Rapid City area. Wind and hail are the main concerns.
Rain chances spread eastward and increase as we head into the day on Monday. A few storms are possible from time to time, but the severe potential is low overall. The main concern is the potential to see heavy rain at times.
After a small break on Tuesday with a good amount of sunshine, we'll bring rain chances back into the picture for the second half of the work and school week. Overall, Friday holds the best chance to see rain before the weekend. The weekend, however, does also feature a chance to see a little more rain.
Temperature wise, we aren't looking at much in the way of above average temperatures. If anything, we'll be near to at times below average...especially for the first part of the week. We'll try to moderate by the end of the week.
