The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office has issued a missing persons alert for Benjamin Adcock, 16.
According to the alert, Adcock was last seen Saturday, Sept. 12, walking away from his residence on Whispering Woods Lane in St. Augustine. Adcock is 5 feet, 11 inches, 160 pounds, has long, dark, curly hair and wears glasses. He was wearing a dark gray t-shirt with "Dimari" written on it, black shorts and flip flops at the time he went missing. He may be wearing glasses.
The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office said in social media updates Sunday that a sighting of Adcock in a Winn-Dixie store on State Road 207 was false. But the SCSO confirmed that he was seen crossing 207 southbound on Saturday and that "the "search efforts are now focused near the Epic Theatre plaza."
The Sheriff's Office confirmed Sept. 14 that Adcock had not been found. A search party was being organized at the Epic Theatre at 9 a.m.
