A woman is in the hospital after being shot in the city's Tioga-Nicetown section.
Officers responded to the 3300 block of North Smedley Street around 1:26 a.m. Sunday for reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival, police found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound to her left shoulder.
She was taken to Temple University Hospital, where she is listed in stable condition.
According to police, the shooting stemmed from argument involving an individual who was acting erratically on the street.
Police say the victim told them the individual entered a silver sedan and retrieved a black firearm and fired one shot.
Police also say the individual possibly lives on the block.
