多名撒哈拉以南非洲籍移民搭乘充氣橡皮艇，試圖偷渡到西班牙加那利群島的蘭薩羅特島，在海上漂流5日，由西班牙海岸警衛隊出面救援，發現這起偷渡釀成至少17人死亡，共65人生還；還扯出其中一名女性被3名男子輪流性侵，此案，涉案人已遭逮捕收押，等待後續司法制裁。
據《每日郵報》報導，多名撒哈拉以南非洲籍移民搭乘橡皮艇，從摩洛哥西南部出發，前往西班牙加那利群島的蘭薩羅特島（Lanzarote），未料，卻在海上漂流5天。
漂流期間，嚴重缺水，還有多人落海；直到9月16日西班牙海岸警衛隊出動救援，救起65名生還者，還撈到3具遺體，推估這次移民渡海至少17人死亡。
此外，一名倖存的女性抵達阿雷西費港（Arrecife）時，向救援人員指控，她渡海期間，遭多名男子性侵，另有其他目擊者出面指證。

針對這起集體性侵案，當地警方於9月23日說明，逮到3名涉案嫌犯，年齡分別為21歲、25歲及30歲，雖未公布身分及國籍，不過涉案人全被收押等待後續司法制裁。
