Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthis launched a fresh attack on the port city of Mokha late on Sunday, hours after an earlier strike killed seven people, according to the Yemeni military.
The Houthis fired ballistic missiles and drones at a residential area of the government-controlled city on Yemen's western coast, the military said on X, adding that air defences intercepted some of the drones.
Seven civilians and military personnel were killed and others injured in an earlier Houthi attack on the city, the military said.
Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said on Telegram that the attack had targeted Saudi troops and weapons depots in the city.
Mokha lies near the strategically important Bab al-Mandab Strait, which forms the entrance to the Red Sea and is a key route for international shipping.
An unofficial ceasefire has largely held in Yemen since 2022, but there are growing concerns that the civil war could flare up again after days of attacks on both sides.
Separately, the Houthi militia claimed on Sunday to have attacked a refinery of the Saudi oil giant Aramco as tensions escalate between the militia and the oil-wealthy monarchy.
The Houthi military spokesman said the drone attack on the facility, located in Jazan in south-western Saudi Arabia, was a "precise hit."
He added in a statement that the attack was in response to the "Saudi enemy's violation" of the airspace over the Yemeni provinces of Saada and Hajjah with drones.
The Saudi Ministry of Energy said firefighting teams extinguished a blaze that broke out at dawn at a facility of an Aramco refinery in Jazan, without resulting in casualties.
The ministry did not provide details about the cause of the fire in its brief statement.
Tensions between the Houthis and Saudi Arabia, which backs the internationally recognized Yemeni government, have soared in recent weeks, with Saudi airstrikes targeting the Houthi-controlled capital Sana'a.
The Houthis, for their part, have attacked several Saudi vessels or forced them to change course after announcing a naval blockade in the Red Sea against Saudi Arabia.
Earlier this week, a Saudi-led military coalition said that 11 civilians were injured in Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia's southern Najran region.
The Houthis have also launched a series of attacks against Yemeni government forces over the past days.
The country has been locked in a devastating conflict since the Houthis seized the capital Sana'a in late 2014. Saudi Arabia has since led a military coalition supporting the Yemeni government against the Houthis.
