Detectives are investigating a deadly double shooting of a couple that left a woman dead and her husband hurt in North Philadelphia Sunday night.
Police say the couple was sitting on their porch in the 2800 block of North 24th Street when they were shot shortly before midnight.
Evidence markers were seen on the street, sidewalk and a porch as the Crime Scene Unit combed the area.
When police arrived, they found 61-year-old Michelle Wilson and her 67-year-old husband were both suffering from gunshot wounds.
Wilson was shot in the neck and back. She was taken to Temple University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Officials say her husband was shot in the buttocks. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
No word yet from police on any arrests or what led up to the shooting.
The Homicide Unit is investigating.
