At least two people have been killed and three injured in a Russian attack on the Odessa region in southern Ukraine, regional military governor Oleh Kiper said on Tuesday.

A tanker lorry carrying oil residues and a car had caught fire, he said on Telegram without specifying what type of weapons were used in the attack.

The Ukrainian Air Force had earlier warned of approaching Russian drones.

Ukraine has been warding off a Russian full-scale invasion since February 2022.
