A Wilmington woman just won a unique lottery jackpot.
According to a press release from the North Carolina Education Lottery, Lori Sunseri of Wilmington bought a $2 Fast Play ticket that hit for the top prize.
Sunseri purchased her ticket on Aug. 8 from the Masonboro Country Store on Masonboro Loop Road in Wilmington.
Because she'd purchased the $2 version, she netted 20% of the overall jackpot sum of $909,410, the press release said. This resulted in a final prize of $181,882. After taxes, Sunseri took home a $130,974 flat sum.
Fast Play features an instantly growing jackpot that increases with every ticket sold until it is won, the release said.
As of Aug. 11 afternoon, the jackpot stood at over $758,000.
