Ohio saw severe storms on Aug. 11 that brought strong winds that flipped a car, inches of rain that brought flooding, and suspected tornadoes touching down in the Buckeye State.

According to the Local Area Rainfall Monitoring Map from the National Weather Service, Seneca County Airport near Tiffin saw over 5 inches (5.66) of rain over 24 hours as of Aug. 12 at 10:15 a.m.
An area of Washington Township in Darke County on the western edge of the state saw 4.25 inches.
Columbus had some areas approach nearly an inch of rain over 24 hours, with John Glenn International Airport recording 0.92 inches and Scioto Country Club on the west side of the city reporting 0.96 inches.
Forest Park in suburban Cincinnati recorded 1.42 inches. Closer to the city, Lunken Field tallied 1.35 inches
