FAIRLEA, WV (WVNS) - Instructors with WVU Extension's 4H program work to bring together learning and fun. 4H-ers of all ages have been getting a chance each year at the state fair to display a variety of projects.
New Secretary of State speaks at State Fair of WV
There were so many to see ranging from woodworking and practical art to crafts and plant-based works. The creativity seen here comes from all over the state.
"We have projects from all 55 counties of West Virginia," explained WVU Extension instructor, Trista Scarberry. "These projects range from eight years old to 21 years old. There are projects for first-years, we have projects that are for cake decorating, STEM-related, know-your-state."
Quite possibly the crowd favorite project was a sizeable hand-crafted Mothman which won the award for Best in Show.
