Petty Officer 1st Class Cory Prebehalla of Johnstown was recently named Senior Sailor of the Quarter while serving with Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command (NMRTC) in Bethesda, Maryland.Prebehalla, a Somerset County native, graduated from Conemaugh Township Area High School in 2016 and holds a bachelor's degree from Thomas Edison State University.The Navy's Sailor of the Quarter program recognizes sailors for sustained superior performance, leadership and professionalism."Being named Senior Sailor of the Quarter is an honor," Prebehalla said. "It's really a reflection of the leaders who have mentored me, my peers who have supported me and the sailors who trust me to lead them. It reinforces my responsibility to remain accountable, set the standard for physical readiness and lead by example every day. This recognition motivates me to continue investing in others and giving back the same leadership that has helped me get to where I am today, which in turn creates a ready and lethal fighting force."Prebehalla joined the Navy nine years ago. Today, he serves as a hospital corpsman.
