Willingboro residents may have noticed a strong police presence on Friday after a report of a suspicious package, later deemed non-hazardous, came into the Willingboro Township Police Department.
At approximately 8 a.m. on Aug. 21, police responded to the area of 609 Beverly Rancocas Road, where officers conducted an initial assessment of the package, officials said.
The area has multiple businesses and shops nearby.

Out of caution, police secured the area and asked for assistance from the New Jersey State Police Bomb Squad.
Willingboro police also sent out a Facebook post at 9:36 a.m. advising residents to avoid the area.
The bomb squad conducted a thorough investigation of the package and ultimately determined it was non-hazardous and posed no threat to the public.
By 10:30 a.m., the area was cleared and normal activity resumed.
