WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A man set out from Los Angeles in June and is going to make it on foot to New York City — juggling the whole way.
Neriah Guerin quit his job in Kentucky and started this journey to spread a message to people across the country.
"In the long term, I would like to use this platform to encourage people to go outside and play more often and engage with their physical world," he said. "In an increasingly digital world where people are becoming increasingly reliant on things like AI and just a lot of technology, that sort of creates a noise that makes us forget that there's something much more tangible surrounding us."

He said he has unknowingly been training for this journey for most of his life. He started by spinning rifles in Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps as well as flags and sabers in high school color guard. He traveled for years as part of the Air Force drill team and has won five titles at the World Drill Championships.
"Until this trip, if you Googled my name, it was going to be a lot of rifle-spinning videos because I'd been doing that for so long," he said. "But now you Google my name, this is actually the first thing that pops up."
He said that he averages about 15 miles per day, and his goal is to make it to New York City by December.

Guerin said that he is the first person to ever attempt a journey like this. His grandparents drove a motorhome and helped him through the desert at the beginning of the trip, but now he is on his own.
He said that he has no sponsorships or financial backing for the trip and is "purely fueled by debt and a dream." But since he has crossed into Kansas, he said that he has been shocked by the support he has received in every community.
"I have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support, kindness and hospitality from people in not just southwestern Kansas, but all across the state that are asking me if I'm passing through their town, offering free food, places to shower, sleep," Guerin said.

When KSN spoke with him, he was sitting in Cimarron. He had previously stopped in Garden City and was welcomed with open arms.
"They really gave me a whole celebrity treatment out there," he said. "I had a free hotel room. I got a couple [of] really cool goodie bags with cosmetics and other essentials for the trip. I got two free meals from some amazing Mexican restaurants."
His next stop will be Dodge City. Then he's planning to hit Kinsley, Larned, Great Bend and Salina. He will continue to stop in cities along the interstate until he reaches Kansas City, but from there, his path is unclear.

He said that he chose a few points to hit, but has not planned each stop in between them.
"So I know that after I get to Kansas City, it'll be Kansas City to St. Louis, to Louisville, Kentucky, to Cincinnati, to Columbus, to Pittsburgh, and then clear across the rest of Pennsylvania until I get to New York City," he said.
Guerin is documenting the entire trip on his Instagram, TikTok and YouTube pages.
He also packed enough shirts to wear a different one every day of his trip, and after he finishes a day of juggling, he washes his shirt and puts it up for sale on his website. He said that the shirt sales help with fundraising. But for those who don't want a shirt, he has a link where people can make donations through Venmo.
Although the journey is tough, Guerin said that the people he meets along the way keep him going.
"For the towns that I haven't visited, what I'd really like people to know is that if they see me and they would like to say hi, please do," he said. "Feel free to pull over, stop me, yell at me, chase after me. I love the social interaction. I love the support."
