GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) -- Eastern Carolina Vocational Center (ECVC) is celebrating 61 years of service to eastern North Carolina.

On Thurs. Oct. 1, at the Rock Springs Center in Greenville, ECVC will hold its annual Anniversary Banquet. This event is also recognizing National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) by celebrating the accomplishments of people with disabilities within the workplace.

This year's keynote speaker is John Register who is a two-time Paralympian, Paralympic silver medalist, U.S. Army combat veteran, four-time All-American track and field athlete and inspirational speaker.

"From the military to government and commercial customers throughout the country, and job
seekers here in Eastern North Carolina, ECVC's impact reaches far beyond our facility," said
Jason Thomas, President and CEO of ECVC.

The banquet begins at 6:30pm with optional VIP Reception from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. Tickets are $70, and sponsorship opportunities beginning at $550 which includes a table for eight.
