A Des Plaines-based logistics and warehousing company is closing an Illinois facility and will lay off nearly 90 employees beginning Friday.
CJ Logistics America, LLC submitted a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) July 10 to the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity announcing that it will lay off 89 employees from its University Park facility beginning next month. The company intends to lay off 59 employees Friday, 18 more on Oct. 3, and the remaining 12 on Oct. 30.
