The family that donated the land for the Morrison Family YMCA is speaking out about the facility's planned sale. Cameron Harris said the decision has broken his trust in YMCA leadership and raised questions about the future of donor partnerships.

Harris is a name you might recognize if you've been in Charlotte long enough.
The family is behind many major projects in south Charlotte. One he's especially proud of is the land in Ballantyne that his family donated to build the Morrison YMCA.
Harris told Channel 9's Gina Esposito that he had no comment when she asked for his reaction to the sale of the Morrison YMCA.
In June, YMCA leadership announced it is selling the branch to a church for $42.5 million.
The Y says a significant portion of the proceeds will be reinvested in south Charlotte.
The Y was named after Harris' grandfather, Cameron Morrison, a former North Carolina governor.
He said the decision to sell the branch has broken his trust in the Y.
"You want me to put a name on a building? Why do I want to do that if you're going to go sell it to somebody else?" Harris said. "I mean, that's a problem that the Y leadership is going to have to deal with."
