STEVENS POINT − Registration is open for the Learning is ForEver program, part of the Continuing Education department at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Program information and registration details are available online, according to a community announcement.
The program offers access to presentations and activities covering current events, history, technology, health and wellness, science, entertainment and other topics. Membership dues are $65 when paid by check or $69 when paid by credit card.
"Besides exploring interesting topics, the LIFE program is important in maintaining cognitive well-being and in keeping members socially connected," LIFE president Ed Miller said.
Members also have opportunities to participate in guided tours and visit nature, art, educational and historic sites. Coffee hours and other social activities are included as part of the program.
The program is designed to bring people together through educational presentations and community activities.
"Portage County is packed with excellent community involvement opportunities, all special and unique and perhaps perfect for your skills, interests, passions and curiosities. The LIFE program might be the right match for you," LIFE board member Carol Colby said. "People can complement their life by joining LIFE today."
