In honor of Teacher Appreciation Month, Moody Gardens is offering a free entrance ticket to all Pre-K through 12th-grade educators during August.

The Galveston-based attraction said teachers who present a valid school-issued ID at its ticket counter will receive a free one-day pass. Educators will also get six tickets for those accompanying them at a discounted price of $45 per person.

"Education is a central part to Moody Gardens' mission, and we share teachers' commitment to creating meaningful learning experiences," said John Zendt, president and CEO of Moody Gardens, in a news release. "Through Teacher Appreciation Month, we are proud to honor educators and provide an opportunity for them and their families to explore, learn and make memories together at Moody Gardens."

The free ticket will grant educators access to all of Moody Gardens' attractions and must be used by Aug. 31.
