An 18-year-old Fort Pierce man is accused of stealing a vehicle and credit cards, possibly solving several burglaries, according to Martin County sheriff's officials.
Cedric Lenard Culver was arrested Sept. 5 and charged with grand theft of a motor vehicle and trafficking in or possession of 15 to 49 counterfeit credit cards, according to sheriff's officials.
Sheriff's deputies arrested Culver after they found him sleeping inside a stolen car in the parking lot of the Treasure Coast Square mall in Jensen Beach, according to officials.
Deputies also found multiple stolen credit and bank cards, along with personal information documents that didn't belong to Culver, inside the vehicle, according to officials.
Deputies were working with Port St. Lucie police officials to identify and locate whose credit cards, personal documents and vehicle were stolen, according to officials. They believed the stolen items are linked to multiple burglaries in the St. Lucie County area.

Culver told deputies he damaged the stolen vehicle when he crashed into another car, according to officials, but he didn't stop because he feared being caught in a stolen car.
Culver was taken to the Martin County Jail, where he remained Sept. 8 with a $50,000 bail, according to the jail's website.
