A man wanted on an active felony warrant in Jefferson County was arrested in southern Indiana on Friday.
According to the Jeffersonville Police Department, they conducted a warrant service at the Garden Side Terrace Apartments in the 1000 block of Garden Court in hopes of locating 26-year-old Markel Swan.
Swan was wanted on various charges related to domestic violence, firearm possession, strangulation and fleeing from police.
Police say when they surrounded the residence, Swan attempted to flee out of the rear of the apartment.
He was quickly taken into custody and currently booked at the Clark County Jail.
It's unclear when Swan will transferred to Jefferson County for his outstanding warrant.
